road playmat

My son has really gotten into cars lately.  For his 2nd birthday I made him a felt road playmat, but this idea was for more of a travel sized playmat.  This one easily folds up and has storage for a few cars.  I did get the idea here at Punkin' Patterns, but I changed how you rolled it up.

Since my son had so many little cars, I figured he needed a road to drive them on!  One big piece of green felt, lots of strips of black and I had my roads.  I added a track at one end so I added a checkerboard "flag" in the middle as well as a parking lot.  I also added trees and yellow dashes.  If I think of it and have the time, I plan to add more...
